OUR CHURCH'S MISSION

God-Centered Worship
The church is an assembly of people who have been called by God to worship Him, (1 Peter 2:9). One of our primary goals at Christ Presbyterian is to corporately enter into God's presence to give thanks, sing His praises, hear from His word, confess ours sins and make our requests known to Him.

Evangelism
The church is to proclaim the gospel to those who are spiritually dead in their sins, (Matt. 28). It is our goal to reach out to all persons, regardless of race, color, lifestyle, background or nationality, with the love and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ so that "all nations whom He has made will come and worship Him, (Ps. 86:9)."

Discipleship
It is not only our goal to corporately worship God and evangelize the community but to minister fully to all of our members. It is our endeavor that every person mature spiritually and be equipped for every good work so that they might glorify God in whatever sphere of life they have been called to, whether it be family, business, manual labor, education or civil government, (Eph. 4:11-16; 2 Tim. 3:16-17).

OUR CHURCH'S PLAN

Biblical Worship
We believe that we are to worship God only in the way He has commanded us in Scripture. God is not pleased with worship that is according to the imaginations and devices of men, (Deut. 12:31-32; Mark 7:6-7).

Biblical Preaching and Teaching
The means by which God has chosen to save and disciple His people is through the preaching of the Word, (Rom. 10:17; John 17:17). Therefore, we place a strong emphasis on biblical preaching and teaching.

Biblical Fellowship
We, like the early church, believe that it is important to fellowship formally and informally so as to spur one another on towards love and good deeds, (Acts 2:42; Heb. 10:24).

Biblical Pastoral Care
Jesus has charged the elders to shepherd His people, (1Pet. 5:2). Therefore, the elders take an active role in the lives of the members providing oversight and training through loving teaching, counseling, care and discipline.

Biblical Living
The goal of salvation is righteous living to the glory of God, (Titus 3:5). We strive to be practical in our teaching and implement together the truth we learn from the Holy Spirit through the Scriptures in every area of life.
